Northampton Capital Partners LLC (“Northampton”), an alternative asset management firm focused on infrastructure investments across North America, today announced that it has entered into a joint venture with Provident Data Centers, a division of Dallas-based Provident, to develop a next-generation turnkey data center with 54MW of critical capacity in the North Dallas Corridor. Delivering late 2027, it will fill the gap in data center capacity in the robust Dallas-Fort Worth market.
The 74MW site benefits from its location in the Dallas market, one of the most active and capacity-constrained data center markets in the world, and offers low latency access to critical interconnects in this key hub for nationwide data center connectivity. Beyond this initial project, Northampton and Provident Data Centers have agreed to a framework to continue their partnership developing inference-ready data center sites in top tier markets across the United States.
Scott McBride, Founding Partner at Northampton Capital Partners, said, “We are excited to partner with the Provident Data Centers team in one of the most attractive data center markets in the world. Provident has demonstrated a track record of sourcing, developing and delivering data center sites, and we look forward to building on this partnership as we pursue inference-ready opportunities to absorb the growing market demand.” Geoffrey Strong, Founder and CEO at Northampton Capital Partners, added, “Our joint venture with Provident Data Centers is a great example of our approach to providing strategic capital in support of critical infrastructure assets in the U.S. We look forward to partnering with the Provident team as they advance this exciting project in Texas.”
Roman Pacewicz, Managing Partner of Provident Data Centers, said, “Through our partnership with Northampton we are delivering highly networked data center capacity in a near zero-vacancy market. Provident’s cutting-edge basis of design consumes effectively zero water and is optimized for quiet operation. Our AI-ready power density lets us meet the rapidly growing demand for inference workloads at an attractive time-to-market.”
Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP served as legal counsel to Northampton. Haynes and Boone LLP served as legal counsel and Citizens Capital Markets served as financial advisor to Provident Data Centers.
