The partnership will combine Becklar’s monitoring expertise, connected safety capabilities and dealer ecosystem with Cognitive’s Caregiver technology, helping providers extend the value of mPERS beyond the emergency itself.

Today, mPERS solutions provide a critical connection to help when an emergency occurs, or an individual presses a button for assistance. Cognitive’s Caregiver solution adds another layer of awareness by using WiFi Sensing and Spatial Intelligence to understand patterns in everyday activity and identify meaningful changes from an individual’s normal routine.

Cognitive’s Caregiver solution can provide insights into activity, sleep, kitchen and bathroom routines, and changes in patterns over time without cameras or microphones and without requiring the individual to wear, charge or interact with another device.

Together, the companies will create a more complete continuum of connected safety by providing families and caregivers with greater awareness between emergencies while maintaining rapid, professional response when immediate assistance is required.
